JASMINE ROAD is a contemporary political dramatic feature film, in post-production. It is a cry for empathy, for compassion for all that is beautiful in diversity in this culturally fractured world.

“Jasmine Road is the follow-up feature film to Raging River Pictures recently released critically acclaimed feature “April in Autumn”. Jasmine Road stars Aixa Kay, Greg and Toni Ellwand, Melody Mokhtari, Ahmed Muslimani, and Caitlyn Sponheimer. It is co-produced with Caitlyn Sponheimer.”

When director and writer of the new feature “Jasmine Road”, Warren Sulatycky, saw first-hand the refugee crisis unfolding in Canada he couldn’t help but learn more about their stories. After years of research, Sulatycky crafted a never-before-seen amalgamation of mid-western Canadian cowboy culture and the Syrian Refugee Crisis. Inspired by true stories and shot documentary style as a fiction film Jasmine Road explores fears and prejudices towards Newcomers.

A recently widowed western rancher takes in a Syrian refugee family in the small conservative town of Red River. “Jasmine Road” is a subtle yet positive political film about the power of acceptance, understanding and love.
